The Study On The Prevention And Control Of The Internet Rumors In Public Crises

Nowadays, along with the growing popularity of the Internet, the network hasbecome an essential part of people’s lives. however, the network not only bringsconvenience, but also becomes the center of production and distribution of rumors.From the internet to the under, and then from under to the internet, a variety ofnetwork information has continued to spread, and makes the people can notdistinguish between true and false. Especially in the context of public crisis events,the environment suddenly changes, combined with the limited official informationreleased, all of these provide an opportunity to network generation and disseminationof rumors. Widely disseminated of various rumors on the network not only increasethe panic of the masses, destroy the normal order of society, but also increase thedifficulty of the resolution of the crisis. Therefore, research on the prevention and treatment of the subject of Internet rumors in the public crises, has a strong practicalsignificance.Firstly, this paper discusses the concept and characteristics of the Internetrumors and public crisis, Internet rumors generated conditions; then to analyze thereasons of network rumors in the public crises, from the government level, theimplementation level, and laws and regulations. After that, the article discusses theprocesses and hazards of network rumors. Next, there gives the holistic approachfrom the government’s point of view, including strengthen the credibility of thegovernment, increasing monitoring and management efforts, improving thecooperation between the media and public. Through this research, I hope it canenable the government to raise the attention of Internet rumors and use reasonableand effective means to crack down on Internet rumors.
