With the continuous progress of the process of urbanization, more and more migrant workers expresses their willingness to settle in cities and towns, but this kind of willingness, which attached to rural land rights and household register double conditions, often inconsistent with national policy. In order to comprehensively study the real migration willingness of migrate workers and deeply clarify the logic behinds it, this thesis give a deep investigation to200migrant workers by questionnaires, interviews, literature and other research methods.Researchers find that, the factors which affect migrant workers’ willingness to migrate settlements, to transfer rural land rights and to change household register are not the same. Among these factors, five variables, including work distance, work time, situation of urban buyers, whether your children are at school in rural areas and your socio-economic status in work cities, have influence on migrant workers’ willingness to migrate settlements; four variables, including age, education, situation of urban buyers and whether your children are at school in rural areas, have influence on migrant workers’willingness to transfer rural land rights; seven variables, including farming experience, work distance, work properties, income, whether your elderly at home need to be taken care, whether your children are at school in rural areas and whether citizen have discrimination against you, have influence on migrant workers’willingness to change household register. In another word, many seemingly contradictory expressions of migrant workers’migration willingness are based on different influencing factors. In the process of urbanization, these different expressions reflect the different tendencies and ideas of migrant workers to urbanization.Through the analysis of migrant workers’migration willingness, we find that, the promote of urbanization has been the support of vast majority of migrant workers; resident urbanization is more representative of the migrant workers’migration willingness; large cities have become the first choice for the settlement of migrant workers, townships lost its appeal; the vast majority of migrant workers still tend to rural land rights claims. The conclusion provides a policy implications and possible options for how to promote urbanization actively and steadily in current. The research concluded that, we need to explore the access mechanism to settled in cities based on migrant workers’migration willingness; implement the "resident urbanization" welfare policy in accordance with migrant workers’migration willingness; respect their willingness, establish rural land "rights reserved mechanism" and "rights descending mechanism"; increase efforts to put into the rural subsistence allowances, reduce the risk of migration strategy of migrant worker nuclear family; enhance the employability, change the imbalance status of migrant workers’migration willingness and ability.
