Community correction as a formal system design have been used in the West fornearly a hundred years of history. In many countries of the world, communitycorrection has occupied a dominant position in the criminal justice system, but theimplementation of operating in China relatively late. This paper mainly studies fiveaspects of community correction.First of all, discuss the community correction system evolution and the basicconnotation, compare to the situation of foreign community correction; the generalsituation of the community correction in domestic; as well as the basic connotation ofcommunity correction.Secondly, analysis of the current situation of China’s community correction system,and have great theoretical and practical significance, our community correctionsystem of community in China.The third part several problems and practical situations of our community correctionsystem been discussed.The fourth part puts forward some countermeasures to perfect our country’scommunity correction system. In order to reform and improve our communitycorrection system, we can advance experience of foreign countries, at the sametime,based on China’s national conditions, update the traditional ideas, reform theexecution of punishment system, establish perfect institutions and professional teamof community correction, create a good environment, administrate the correctionalofficers in hierarchical classification, lay a new foundation for prisoners to return tosociety.
