Along with the development of international and domestic situation, they have gradually become an important part of the Overseas Chinese and Foreign Citizens of Chinese Origin, and they are taking an active part in everything.But for a long time, the potential and strategic significance of Overseas Chinese affairs didn’t get the attention it deserves. And consortium organizations put much emphasis and efforts on capital introduction but neglect the general development of overseas Chinese affairs resources. Therefore, preserving, cultivating and developing overseas Chinese affairs resources is the direction and strategic task of the overseas Chinese affairs work in the future.The author carried out a research of the ethnic minorities living overseas whose hometown is in Gansu, and analyzed the cause of Gansu minority of overseas resources, current situation and problems. And then in allusion to conserving and cultivating the Overseas Chinese affairs, she put forward the suggestions to promote the sustainable development of overseas resources.
