Research On The Political Participation Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

Migrant workers have become the main force of the main body of China’s industrial workers and urban construction. The proportion of the new generation of migrant workers is increasing, and become a part which we cannot be ignored. Relative to the older generation of migrant workers, the cultural level of the new generation of migrant workers is higher, and they do not want to be a shadow of the city. There is a strong desire to integrate into the city. Rights awareness is enhanced, and awareness of political participation is also enhanced. In the modern political system, an important political behavior of citizens is political participation. It is important aspects of the theory of democracy, also an important part of the national democratic political life. Political Participation of the new generation of migrant workers not only have an important impact on the life and work of the new generation of migrant workers, but also have an important impact to the overall development of the national and social stability, the integration of urban and rural economic and scientific development concept.In this paper I use documentary research, interviews, questionnaires, and qualitative research methods. Questionnaires and interviews are in Chaoyang District, Haidian District, Fengtai District, Changping District and Fangshan. Discuss Current Situation and Problems deeply on behalf of migrant workers and political participation from awareness and behavior. Analyze reasons from the two aspects of subjective and objective:weak material basis, the overall quality is low, the influence of the feudal ideology, weak legal consciousness; urban-rural dual system, interest expression mechanism is not perfect, and the political and cultural backwardness of the lack of protection of the laws and regulations. Discussing from three aspects of the hierarchy of needs theory, equity theory and social identity theory, and then I propose a solution from the government, society, enterprises and individuals.
