The relationship between France and Africa is always very complex, the specialty and the complexity of the relationship between France and Franco-African countries attract a lot of attentions of other countries after the independence of all the African countries. Their relationship was considered as a "monster bizzare". According to the colonial history between France and African countries, the Franco-Africa maintains a closed relationship with its former colonial power France. The two both play very important roles in the international stage. The back ground of this dissertation is from the history of the colonial experience of the African continent, firstly, this essay analyze the complicated relationship of France and Sub-Saharan Africa, and mentions the little change of the politics of France towards the Sub-Saharan African countries at the beginning of the period of President Sarkozy. In the chapter2, this essay introduces the current situation of their bilateral relationship from several aspects, for example, the politics, the economy and finance, the foreign aid of France to Africa and the security strategies prepared by France for the African countries; at last, the essay mentioned briefly the reaction of the African countries to the aid and the relationship of France. The people of Africa will not ignore the influence of the French aid for the least developed countries in the Africa, they don’t consider it as a good start for the economic development of their continent, on contrary, they hate them, they hate the surplus amount of loans which France enforce the African countries to accept and to digest, they thinks that it’s a phenomenon that implicates the weakness of the African leaders. Meanwhile, the victory of Mr. Olande left us a riddle. Their relationship faces a special challenge in this new era. In any case, the relationship between France and Africa is living a revolution and has a far way to go and France still has a lot of works to accomplish to rebuild the relationship with the Sub-Saharan African countries.
