On The Use Of Peer Education In College’s Moral Education

In the period of social transformation, the college’s moral education is facing the great challenge.The economic globalization, diversity of interest, information network brings tremendous shock to college students in the aspect of ideological concept, value orientation and behavior. How to effectively carry out the moral education according to college students’ new characteristic becomes the important subject in universities. Peer group is a kind of educational resource. Based on the idea that Peer Education exists objectively and is a kind of philosophy and method of education, it has been used in the field of public health program and psychological consultation. Peer Education is a kind of idea and method, and can be applied in other parts of social activities. So it is meaningful to bring Peer Education into college moral education. It is beneficial for students’self-education, self-management and self-service. Meanwhile, Peer Education can enhance the effectiveness of moral education in universities.This dissertation consists of five chapters. The preface tells the research background, research review, train of thought and research methods of this dissertation. The second chapter of the definition of peer education is to introduce the content, characteristics, the categories and the theoretical basis as well as the definition of moral education. Chapter Three explains the reason why we should carry out Peer Education. Chapter Four is the main part of this paper, with a view to trying to analyze the current situation of the use from the fields of application and method perspective. By referring to the previous analysis and cases, the Chapter Five is aimed to sum up the problems that Peer Education is facing and to try to find solutions to perfect it, which are " to build the Peer Education System and regulations, to optimize the education team, to set up a platform, to promote the education to meet the students’need".
