Research On The Application Of Peer Psychological Counseling In Colleges Mental Health Education In Inner Mongolia

The psychological development of college students in the middle of youth is not yet fully mature,and it is easy to have problems in emotions and interpersonal communication.The psychological problems caused by this immaturity are complex,changeable and special.Only relying on the strength of professional psychological counseling teachers can not effectively alleviate the greater demand for psychological services of college students.Therefore,peer counseling,as an emerging form of mental health education,is gradually used and valued by many colleges and universities.It is an effective supplement to professional psychological counseling,a good way for college students to help others and help themselves,and an effective way to improve the form of mental health education.The definition of peer psychological counseling in this study is:Peer counseling is a kind of psychological counseling activity provided by students who master certain mental health knowledge and counseling skills.They provide psychological help services to students in need,such as psychological consolation,support,tolerance and encouragement,so as to improve their mental health awareness and "help others to help themselves".Based on the previous research results,the author adopts the literature analysis method and questionnaire research method,and uses the self-edited "Questionnaire on the Status of Psychological Counseling for College Students" to randomly select 850 students from three universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Peer psychological counseling needs,work status and problems faced were investigated and analyzed.The results show that college students have a high demand for peer psychological counseling,but current peer psychological counseling has problems in colleges' attention,systems and training systems,professional supervision,and the working mechanism of class psychological committee members,which greatly restrict the sustainable development of peer counseling.After analyzing the unique advantages of peer counseling,the author actively explores the ways and means to change the counseling concept and improve peer counseling,and puts forward the countermeasures to optimize the systematic construction of peer counseling team,so as to achieve the purpose of widening the implementation path of college mental health education and improving the effectiveness of mental health education.
