As the people concentrate more and more on the health, the industry of bodybuilding grows faster and faster. But in China, this industry is still at a low level. Nomatter quantity and quality, the supply can’t satisfy the demand. Pulled by the demand,the scale of the industry grows quite fast, but it is not a good growth. How should thefirms in the industry achieve a good development is a significant and complicatedquestion. This article tries to analysis this question.The article reviews to groups of theory first. The first group is on the theory ofcompetitive forces, including the basic theory on competitive forces, the factorsinfluencing the competitive forces and the measures to develop the competitive forces.This group of theory emphasizes the importance of knowledge and innovation. Thesecond group is one the method to estimate the competitive forces.The next title of the article is to estimate the competitive forces of athletic clubsin China, based on the investigation of firms in Beijing. The result shows that thefirms in China are quite lag behind the foreign firms. Then, the article analysis thedata by different aspects, and analysis the reasons why the firms are short ofcompetitive force. The fifth chapter gives some advices for firms to develop thecompetitive forces.
