As the world has entered the age of the rapid development of Knowledge-basedeconomy, which put forward higher requirements to the education. No matter howthe education developed, all the countries put forward higher requirements toteachers’ further education which including the knowledge and the view to education.Compare with the economically developed eastern area, in Xinjiang UygurAutonomous Region, the further education of PE teachers has not go to the way ofstandardization and institutionalization.The essay has studied178PE teachers from middle school who participate infurther education in Xinjiang. Through we found that, the concept of furthereducation was far behind; the schedule of PE teachers’ further education was notproper; the department of further education has defects on work, and the leadershiphas inadequate understanding on further education; The teachers has spent a lot onfurther education; the contradiction between the job and the further education. Allthe factors mentioned above has restricted the development of further education inXinjiang. Combined with the current situation in Xinjiang, the essay put forwardcountermeasures against the problems we have mentioned: Establishing the conceptof life-long education instead of the old one; enriching the laws about furthereducation; the departments should cooperate with each other to accelerate thedevelopment of further education; developing the scientific research, selecting thecontents of further education; providing the abundant funds.And using thereasonable incentive mechanism, etc.
