Space and graphics has been one of the focuses of the primary mathematics curriculumreform over the years. Its content, form constantly changes, space and graphics have been takenunprecedented attention in primary mathematics. Teaching philosophy of primarymathematics(PEP) transfer from the initial emphasis on logical thinking ability of students to theemphasis on enhancing students’ overall quality. Teaching content transfer from the emphasis onthe calculation of length, area and volume to the appropriate exercise of emphasis on the conceptof space and geometric intuition.Singapore and China belong to the same Asian cultural circle, with a similar cultural origins. In recent years, Singapore mathematics education reform draws on Western reform ideas andexperiences, to integrate into the traditional and formed its own characteristics. Its achievementsin primary mathematics education reformation, are especially paid great attention by the othercountries in the world, therefore, studing the Singapore Primary Mathematics education reform, and take it as the basis for comparative analysis of the differences with China in this regard, in thePrimary Mathematics China-depth development of the new curriculum is the larger reference. The paper take two set of textbooks about Shaping Maths PEP Primary Mathematics in Chinaand Singapore for example.full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(Revised)"(hereinafter referred to as the" standard ").Select this part of the mathematical spaceand graphics content as an object of study. The Standard raise goals for students from fouraspects, they are the knowledge and skills, mathematical thinking, problem solving and theemotional attitudes of students. And develop the content to four parts: understanding, measuring, graphics, and transform as well as graphics and location of graphics. This part of the specific inSingapore has two parts as geometry and measurement, with a focus biased in favor of measuring. The comparative analysis similarities and differences of the geometry and measurement betweenChina and Singapore Primary Mathematics Teaching in the perspective of elementary schoolmathematics geometry course to be desired to provide constructive comments on the developmentof the geometry curriculum for elementary school mathematics. The paper is divided into five parts, firstly the introduction introduced the researchbackground, purpose and Research, in order to demonstrate the need for this study; the next setfrom the course objectives, course content and the difficulty of the three dimensions of ourcountry and Singapore Primary Mathematics Teaching. On this basis, the last part of the articleraise the Singapore Primary Mathematics Teaching for China in space and graphics fields of reform and enlightenment in order to achieve the purpose of promoting coordinated developmentof our elementary school mathematics curriculum content areas.
