Investigation And Countermeasure Research On Current Situation Of Basketball Sport In Shaanxi Independent College

With the booming development of NBA, CBA, CUBA and College Basketball Super League basketball tournament, basketball is becoming one of the most favorite sport and physical education curriculum among college students. Independent College is an important and indispensable part of higher education. For deeper popularization and development of basketball in Independent Colleges, this paper has surveys, interviews and statistical analysis on basketball sport of Independent Colleges in Shaanxi Province, depending on school-running model and mechanism character. This paper is purposed to find out the problems of basketball sport that exist in Independent Colleges of Shaanxi Province and offer rational suggestions for the development of basketball sport in Independent Colleges in order to expect better popularization and development of basketball sport in Independent Colleges.The methods of literature consultation, questionnaire method and comparative analysisare adopted in the paper to analysis basketball teaching, development of basketball, teacher strength, school representative team and basketball court of Independent Colleges, in order to full yard accurately reflectthestatus of the independt college basketball. Conclusions are drawed:1. Students of Independent Colleges in Shaanxi are strongly interested in basketball activities, thus basketball have a good mass base. That’s why basketball is one of the favorite elective courses.2. Though students in Shaanxi Independent College have high enthusiasm in extracurricular activities, extracurricular tutorship for basketball is in the blank. Students have no basketball competition other than intramural games, thus student’s basketball level improve slowly; Students’ basketball community plays an inadequate role in basketball games.3. Independent Colleges in Shaanxi pay much attention to the construction and development of basketball team. Because of the shortage of funds, most colleges just have men’s team and extracurricular training; Sports teams don’t have perfect management system and excellent performance.4. Nowadays Independent College basketball teachers are younger in average age. with the situation that men are much more than women; Teachers are relatively weak in research ability; Teaching methods are limited to traditional ways which cannot inspire students’learning interest.5. Most Shaanxi Independent Colleges are lack of Basketball courts and facilities. A number of colleges cannot reach the standard, grade C indexes, for teaching evaluation; this phenomenon seriously impact students’participation in basketball.According to the basketball sport status of the Independent School of Shaanxi Province and national requirements for Independent Colleges and independent colleges’requirements for students’development, some reasonable suggestions for development of are proposed:1. More attention should be paid on basketball teaching. Teachers can integrate the teaching objectives based on the special circumstances of Independent Colleges in order to development of curriculum content and enable students to master basketball skills. By individualized teaching method, Independent School can have their own Characteristic.2. It is recommended that in extracurricular basketball activities, the policy of "sunshine sports" should be fully implemented, teachers are encouraged to guide the students. Basketball clubs should be established to create more exchanges and full opportunity for students to show themselves. Create the campus sports culture that "I want to go to college, I want to play basketball".3. It is recommended to introduce various social funds to provide financial and material security for the basketball team of the Independent School. At the same time it is advised to recruit students with sports expertise and actively participate in off-campus basketball game at all levels to improve the visibility of the school.4. Improve the training of basketball teachers; enhance the learning of theoretical knowledge, in order to improve the research capacity of basketball teachers. Optimize the basketball teaching methods and means, in order to establish high-quality, high-level of basketball teachers for Independent School.5. It is advised to improve basketball stadium construction and the situation of the venue equipment, in order to provide strong material to protect the smooth development of basketball in the school.
