Study Of Contemporary College Students' Present Situation Of Common Ideal Faith

Roman Rolland said, life is a drama of faith. If there’s no faith, life will be destroyed.Strong souls move on the earth where time goes by, like stones drifting on the lake. A manwho is without religion will sink. Faith gives us the mental satisfaction under the vision of thefuture, so that people can move forward to the goal of life with a long lasting driving force.College students are valuable human resources; they are the hope of the nation, the future ofthe motherland, and responsible for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinesenation’s historical responsibility. In the current society, the social thoughts is surging, andthere’s a value diversification, the common ideal and belief situation of contemporary collegestudents will be directly related to the rise and fall of a nation. Therefore, we must use thecommon ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics to lead, unite and arm the students,enhance their political identity and emotion recognition, strengthen their common ideal andbelief to the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This not only provides themwith thoughts and behaviors of the value standard and specification, but also to ensure theprosperity of the socialist cause have qualified successors. The common ideal and belief ofcontemporary college students is a major issue raised by the times, by the common ideal andbelief education, strengthen their faith in Marxism, the trust of the Chinese CommunistParty,improve the sense of social responsibility. In recent years, survey results show that thecommon ideal and belief situation of contemporary college students is good overall, butbecause of the influence of various factors at home and abroad as well as the students’ ownfactors, there are still some problems indeed, if we don’t study the problem of thecontemporary college students’common ideal and belief, allow it to grow, it is neitherconducive to the construction of socialist harmonious society nor the development of collegestudents’physical and mental health. Therefore, we must strengthen the study of thecontemporary college students’common ideal and belief and make scientific and effectivemeasures. This paper mainly consists of three parts:Part I: the overview of the common ideal and belief. Defined the concept of the commonideal and belief, described its role and analysis the neccecity of firming the common idealbelief of the contemporary college students on this basis from five aspects. Firming the common ideal and belief of contemporary college students is the meaning of the question ofthe socialist core value system, is the objective needs of the practice of building socialismwith Chinese characteristics, is the inevitable requirement of the ideological and politicaleducation, is an important means to resist the attempts of Western hostile forces "peacefulevolution", is the fundamental guarantee of making students to become the socialistconstruction of useful talents.Part II: the status and reason of the common ideals and belief of the contemporarycollege students. Analysis the status of the common ideal and belief of the college students,then summarized the reasons of the missing of the common ideals and belief of thecontemporary college students from both domestic and international aspects. Domesticreasons, including the negative impact of the market economy, the influence of corruptionwithin the party, the influence of decadent ideological and cultural, the problems ofideological and political education and the reason of students themselves. Foreign mainreasons include: the impact of the drastic changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, theinfluence of various Western social thought and the penetration of the extraterritorial hostileforces.Part III: Firm the countermeasures of contemporary college students’ common ideal andbelief. Firm the common ideal and belief of contemporary college students from five aspectsto take countermeasures. Firstly, strengthen the common ideal and belief education in theclassroom teaching positions.Secondly, strengthen and improve the party’s leadership,improve the image of the Party. Thirdly, effectively solve the practical problems encounteredby college students and provide them good development space. Fourth, strengthen theconstruction of advanced culture and purify the social environment. Fifth, studentsconsciously strengthen themselves cultivation and firm the common ideal and belief.
