Since the reform and opening up, China experienced the excellentsituation of universally recognized. Along with the advance of the processof reform and opening up and socialist modernization drive, Chinesecollege students in the ideological, political, and academic progress,a strong desire to become a very favorable environment for carrying outideological and political education. Real great social changes, however,led to changes in the family structure, dramatic increase in number ofsingle parent families, single parent families has become an importantgroup of University students. This group of university students insingle-parent families compared with the ordinary college students inneed of social, family, school to give more attention and help,ideological and political education of single-parent families has becomean important subject.Proceed from the characteristics of this group of university studentsin single-parent families, for single-parent families of students, theperformance of college students in single-parent families and theimportance of ideological and political education for university studentsin single-parent families Conducted a questionnaire survey of collegestudents and college counselors, to show the status of the ideologicaland political education of college students in single-parent families andanalyze the causes and explore the ideological and political educationin single-parent families, the proposal of building a perfectsingle-parent families ideological and political education system,correct use of thinking political education, and improve family and socialenvironment, as well as to strengthen the theory of single-parent familiesideological and political education research.
