A Study On College Volunteer Service From The Perspective Of Ideological And Political Education In Universities

The ideological and political education is regarded as the “lifeline” in the talentcultivation of universities and is the footstone to build the quality education project ofuniversity students; therefore, our country and government attach great importance tothe ideological and political education in colleges all the times. In order to guaranteethe functions of this “lifeline”, the ideological and political education should makeinnovation continuously to adapt this society with unceasing changes.The practical education is the more persuasive one in the education and thevolunteer service is the subject which is closely tied with the education. In recentyears, along with the increase of important events and activities, the volunteer spirit isspread by people and people pay more attention to the volunteer service activities.The most remarkable one in the volunteer team is the college volunteers. All theactivities such as “going to the countryside for three times”,“teaching in the west”,“relieving the Wenchuan people in disaster”,“Olympics in Beijing” and “ShanghaiWorld Expo” are full of the college students. They take the smile as the calling card,take the empressement as the tache, take the dedication as the happiness, annotate thevolunteer spirit cannily and become the main force of the volunteer service in deed.Under the new trend, the soul of college volunteer service is in harmony with theideological and political education study in colleges to enrich the ideological andpolitical education, the volunteer service practice is taken as the effective carrier andpattern innovation to enhance the actual effect of ideological and political education;otherwise the ideological and political education consummates the volunteer servicefrom various perspectives and makes the college volunteer services have the greatprogress. Discussing the internal relationship between the volunteer service andideological and political education study and enhancing the interaction between the college volunteer service and ideological and political education in universities aresignificant to promote the complete improvement of college quality and build theharmonious interpersonal relationships and harmonious campus.This paper aims at the study on college volunteer service from the perspective ofideological and political education in universities and this topic is to hold therelationship between the ideological and political education and the college volunteerservice from the entire perspective of ideological and political education study. Thispaper is composed of five chapters.Chapter1is the introduction, including the research background, researchsignificance, research thoughts and methods, the research status in quo at home andabroad and possible innovations and limitations.Chapter2is the overview for the college volunteer service, explaining itsrelevant concepts and developments, emphasizing particularly on the development ofthe college volunteer service in universities and redounding to have a betterunderstanding to the history of volunteer service and the background of the collegevolunteer service.Based on the understandings of the background, Chapter3mainly discusses therelationship between the college volunteer service and the ideological and politicaleducation from the macro perspective and explains it from the object, content, processand principles respectively.Relative to Chapter3, Chapter4mainly discusses the promotion of the volunteerservice to the ideological and political education service from the micro perspective.Chapter5is the considerations to promote the volunteer service and promotesthe volunteer service development mainly from two perspectives of ideological andpolitical education in universities and social laws and rules.
