Colleges and universities are the important places of cultivating high-endtalents and enhancing national power, but moral education can’t be ignored.However, with the globalization, particularly the impact of foreign culture, moraleducation in our college education is facing with the dilemma of traditionalmoral concept crisis, moral education goals does not match life reality, limitedmoral education course, moral education course simply emphasizes the moralknowledge infusion and our moral education evaluation mechanism still needs tobe perfected, etc. In the face of all this, many solutions are put forward at homeand abroad, some think moral education should result in intellectual study, othersthink that moral education stems from life and should return to life, etc. So thereappeared some researches on the models of moral education. Some researchstudies moral education from its root of life focusing on the model ofcombination of living and moral education. Some research believes that theinefficiency of moral education is the result of students’ lack of belief and value.Still others believe moral education should follow the activities-based model.Besides, some interaction-based models and experience—based models alsodraw a lot of attention. In analyzing all the models, the author finds that the onesthat can truly realize the combination of theory and practice are rare. For thisreason, the author believes that the only solution to the problems of China’scontemporary college students’ moral education should be under the guidance of“The Unity of Theory and Practice “.This essay consists of six parts, including five chapters and conclusioncomponent. In the first part of the introduction, this paper studies the purposeand significance of college moral education in the domestic as well as the foreignresearch level, the basis, and explains the expected results and some innovations. In the second part, the basic connotation and the related contents of moraleducation are introduced in details, especially the current condition of collegemoral education. In the third part "macmillan unity", this paper not onlyanalyzes the connotation and the dialectical relations of the "know" and the"act" of moral education but also summarizes the essence of moral educationconcept from the "unity of knowledge and. In the fourth part, the problems andreasons of college moral education are analyzed, especially from the aspects ofthe moral education of intellectual life and analysis. It is concluded root cause ofthe failure of university moral education is failure to truly unite moral cognitionand moral behavior in college. Therefore, in the fifth part, this paper takes"macmillan unity" moral education concept for guidance for the university moraleducation and proposes some countermeasures and proposals: one is to changethe university moral education idea; the second is college moral educationinnovation; the third is to perfect the university moral education methods; theforth is strengthen college moral education and evaluation system. In conclusionpart, this paper made a general summary of the text and points out the relativeadvancement to the previous research, eventually, to express the hope to a betterfuture of college moral education.
