Research On Construction Of University Campus Spiritual Culture

The important goal of constructing the socialism harmonious society wasproposed by Party’s the fourth plenary session of sixteenth central committee.Universities charging with the cultivation of talents, scientific research and socialservice functions play a very important role in building harmonious society. Andbuilding harmonious society can not be separated from high-quality personnel,and the function of higher education in the guidance of leading role in socialdevelopment. Positive and healthy culture is an important characteristic ofsocialist harmonious society. The new culture of harmonious society is stillbased on traditional Chinese culture. Important mission of education is theinheritance development and innovation of the traditional culture. So it plays adecisive role in the process of building a harmonious society with new culture.Therefore, important measures through higher education must be put forward tocarry forward the excellent traditional culture and lead the direction of culture, tostrengthen the construction of campus culture and the construction socialismharmonious society.Campus spiritual culture is the core，soul and also the highest realm ofcampus culture. It reflects the special nature, personality and spirit of auniversity, and embodies the mission, training goal and unique style of auniversity. It is the accumulation, integration and refining in the long-termcreation process of campus material culture and system culture. It consists of thecore and the highly abstract value pursuit and the character of a university. It is arelatively stable group psychology and mental state. It is the most typical spiritconnotation accumulation through long term university education practice. Italso reveals the overall feature, level, features and cohesion, appeal and vitalityof a university. Carrying out university campus spiritual culture construction canpromote and strengthen the university comprehensive development, enhance thevitality of university campus, achieve the campus stability, enhance theuniversity soft power, at the same time foster the social elite talents, achieve the benign interaction between university and society and promote harmonioussocial environment construction. Therefore, strengthening the campus cultureconstruction is the development need of institutions of higher education, the needof constructing socialism harmonious society, and also the need of developmentof era.The content of this thesis consists of six parts: the first part explains theresearch background, significance, reviews the research status at home andabroad, introduces the research purpose, method and content as well as theresearch framework of this article.
