Ground-Shed is a special culture phenomenon, which exists in LanDianYaosociety. The historical reality and the method of livelihood of LanDianYao societydecide the production of ground shed, which can not be separated from theeconomic production of LanDianYao. It’s the product of farming culture,has adeep local characteristic and national characteristic. Its existence was historicalnecessity and objective reality. The structural style of LanDianYao ground-shed ismuch more slow-moving than historical contemporaneous residential style of Yaonationality, but the structural style basically in keeping the same. In terms of itsstructural style，changing from underwent shearing thatch, forking wood, thestructure of bamboo and wood, even to reinforced concrete ct. The change anddevelopment from simplification, provisionality to complication, fossilization,chronicity,structural style uninterrupted in tend to perfect. With the development ofYao Nationality productivity and the changing of methods of production, specialfrom ambulatory cultivation to sedentary cultivation till to nowadays thedevelopment of industrial economy. It makes ground-shed not only the structuralstyle uninterrupted prefect, but the function of it has corresponding changing. Thenthe function of residence become prominent gradually and to form the ground-shedculture which with rich national characteristics.This thesis embarks from history and anthropology angles, expounding the formand development of ground-shed of LanDianYao;analyzing the flourishing reasonsand the changing process of it’s structural style; caring the function of ground-shedof LanDianYao and its effect for the society; analyzing the contradictory relationbetween ground-shed of Lianidanyao and rural resident; discussing thedevelopment trend for the ground-shed of LanDianYao,in order to give a betterservice to develop the LanDianYao’s society,economic,culture ect.At the same time, it can be a new point of penetration to investigate the traditional culture and societyof Yao Nationality.
