Objective: Research the effect of Taijiquan exercise of differenttimes on the cardiovascular system and its regulating peptides of elderlywomen, and further reveal the double effects of Taijiquan exercise on thecardiovascular system in order to provide a theoretical basis toscientificly choose Taijiquan exercise time for old people. Methods:Make12elderly women with long-term Taijiquan exercise take one hourand two hours Taijiquan exercise. Then respectively test their immediatephysiological, biochemical and psychological parameters of the twoperiods after just finishing the Taijiquan exercise. Results:1. Comparedwith the quite situation, after one hour Taijiquan exercise, the immediatetime ratio of the plasma neuropeptide Y (NPY) and calcitoningene-related peptide (CGRP) has no significance change;2. Comparedwith one hour exercise, after two hours Taijiquan exercise, the immediatetime ratio of the plasma neuropeptide Y (NPY) and calcitoningene-related peptide (CGRP) has rising tendency, and is higher than theratio of quite situation;3. The result of the fatigue self-conscioussymptom scale shows that after two hours Taijiquan exercise,the numberof fatigue symptoms in the immediate time has significant difference thanone hour Taijiquan exercise. Conclusion: The fitness effect of one hourTaijiquan exercise is better than two hours exercise. Although Taijiquanexercise is low and moderate intensity movement, it is really not the morethe better of old people. Two hours Taijiquan exercise can lead to thephysical fatigue for the old people. This research suggests that in order toavoid bodily damage of excessive exercise, the old people should controlthe time of Taijiquan exercise in one hour.
