The teaching of novels is the vital task in high school Chinese teaching, which is of great importance in literal education. Novel is a kind of style that high school students love to read most, but to our regret, students are inactive in learning novels, meanwhile teachers are inefficient in teaching it. In my research, I found teaching of novels in high school have a tendency for fixed models. My research begins with the existing models in high school novel teaching, analyzing the main reasons for the fixed models on novel teaching from teachers’, students’ and textbook’s perspectives respectively, thus bringing up the practical measures according to the concept of new curriculum and related literature theory. The dissertation analyzed the three phenomenons of the fixed models of teaching aims, teaching content and teaching methods. They put the novel teaching into the same position as moral education on teaching aims. There exists fixed models of analysis of plot, characters analysis and background analysis. In teaching methods, teachers always take the background knowledge as their first step, using their own analysis to deprive the chance of students to experience the beauty of novels and just use one method to decode the novels. Secondly, my essays analyze the current teaching states, the learning states of students and the arrangement of the textbooks combining the current models. In the end, I will explore a better way to come out of the fix models of novel teaching exerting narratology, receptional aesthetics and dialogue theory. In the teaching of content, I will put the narrative narrator perspective into teaching class, refreshing teaching in this way and respecting the reading experience of the student based on this way which can broaden the reading perspective of our students, improving their expectation perspective. Guiding our students in having a vivid imagination, stimulating their creativity, eliciting the multiple explanation of the novel by our students are our urgent task.Only in this way can we pilot students finding and filling in the blanks of the text, meanwhile, strengthening the conversation between teachers and students, students and students, and students themselves.
