History-intoned poetry is an important part of the ancient Chinese poetry. Based on the research of the whole history-intoned poetry, the article concerns the teaching of the history-intoned poetry in senior high school. This article includes four parts.The first chapter expresses views on the definition, the beginning and the range of the history-intoned poetry.As for the intoned object of history-intoned poetry, history has its own specific characteristic. People always return to the history, write history-intoned poetry to inquire about the history-reality meaning to express their feelings and opinions. The second chapter explains the specific characteristic of the intoned object, analyzes the content, theme and artistic techniques of the history-intoned poetry. This chapter provides an overview of the stylistic features of history-intoned poetry.The third chapter gives an overview of current status of history-intoned poetry in senior high school. From a list of the history-intoned poetry in senior high school Chinese teaching material you can see the state of history-intoned poetry in the whole teaching material. The article also reflects the state of history-intoned poetry in the poetry appreciation part of the college entrance examination papers through a form and analyzes the testing point. At last the article not only describes the problem in the process of the teaching of history-intoned poetry in senior high school but also make suggestions.Reading history-intoned poetry has the advantage of cultivating the humanistic quality of the students. The fourth chapter illustrates this in four aspects:increasing history knowledge, getting the aesthetic education, affective education and building up the critical thinking and analytical abilities.
