Taekwondo has the unique characteristics of the internally and externally, and carrying heavy etiquette, a moral tradition of excellence. Taekwondo practice can promote physical and mental health of primary and secondary school students, cultivating the indomitable fighting spirit, improving the moral quality, improving personality traits. Sports and Health curriculum standards that recently issued by the Ministry of Education clearly states:"according to the actual situation of the local, and the school in teaching appropriate choice of the emerging sports". This provides the policy basis for Taekwondo entering into primary and secondary school.By the questionnaire and surveying expert interviewing this paper randomly surveyed the part of the primary and secondary students and physical education teachers in 40 primary and secondary schools in Xi’an, aimed to find out the stute of taekwondo in young people and schools to carry out the feasibility of primary and secondary school physical education.Learned through the survey:Xi’an physical education is in diversified development trend now.The survey found that 40% of primary and secondary schools had opened taekwondo hobby classes, but there is no school taking taekwondo as a basis class. The survey found that taekwondo is deeply loved by students of the primary and secondary school, nearly 1/4 of the students had practiced taekwondo. So opening taekwondo courses into primary and secondary schools can meet the needs of the students, with a certain rationality. Most of the physical education teachers and students in Primary and Middle Schools have a high level of knowledge of taekwondo.The value of taekwondo to Primary and Middle school students has been generally recognized. The advantages of taekwondo entering primary and secondary schools:class viable, feasible venues and facilities, the students’ strong demand, action is easy to learn and higher security; Disadvantages:supporting of schools leaders is relatively low, shortage of teachers, lacking ofuniform materials.Development countermeasure:Encouraging off-campus training teachers open taekwondo training (hobby) courses in school. Carrying out a variety of impressive performances and competitions in school frequently, and organizing them taking part in the taekwondo competition of the various levels,of achievements.By this to attract the attention of the school leaders towards taekwondo. the way of strengthening the teaching staff:Absorbing "go teach", trainning school PE teachers, and absorbing professional taekwondo teachers. Improving the teaching materials and developing curricula.Three ways can be used to introduce taekwondo into primary and secondary schools:①dominant learning style, Taking taekwondo as a basis curriculum in the schools, greetly meet the needs of students of taekwondo.②combination of explicit learning and implicit learning: first taekwondo can be introduced as a form of interest classes or after-school cram schools, and then with the timing of maturity, taekwondo as the school’s regular physical education in teaching programs.③implicit learning, Some schools’ equipment and teachers are seriously inadequate and can not be solved in a short time. Then it can be carried out in schools through the form of interest classes or associations. Taekwondo curriculum in primary and secondary schools can be combined with extra-curricular taekwondo club at the same time,strengthening the specification of taekwondo teaching, highlighting the characteristics of taekwondo teaching, absorbing taekwondo promotion system to meet the needs of the student’s promotion.
