There are specific characteristics for primary and secondary school students on theirideological education in poor areas. Therefore, ideological education in these areas developsmore difficultly than that in rich areas. It needs to pay more to obtain the achievement.Primary and secondary school students in poor areas have formed strong will andhard-working spirit in this harsh environment, but they have to meet many realistic difficultiesas they grow up, with puzzles in their mind.Based on literature research at home and abroad on ideological and political education,through survey research on teachers, students, and parents in poor areas in Shan Xi province,this thesis analyses the reasons of existing problems from the level of society, school andfamily. In the end, it proposes the solution to the problems existing in ideological and politicaleducation of primary and secondary school students in poor areas. Thus, this essay tends to letus know the students’living condition and mental condition, pay attention to their ideologicaland political education and help them grow healthily.This article includes four chapters. The first chapter is exordium. It mainly introduces thegist and signification of the topic, research status and research content, purpose and methodsof research, significance of ideological and political education. Besides, it defines its keyconcept. The second chapter shows current situation about primary and secondary schoolstudents’ideological and political education. It chooses Xing County as investigation placeand mainly carries out questionnaire survey and interviews about students and teachers there.This part looks into primary and secondary school students’ideological and politicaleducation; meanwhile, it undertakes specific analysis on findings about students, teachers andteaching. The third chapter analyzes current existing problems from the level of society,school and family. It discusses social reason from specific geographical and socialenvironment; school reason from the shortcoming of school, the perspective of teachers andsimplicity of the course and teaching methods; and family reason from the lack of ideological and political education of family and the lack of study motive. Chapter four is countermeasureon primary and secondary school students’ideological and political education. Puttingforwards suggestions from the three levels of society, school and family, the paper attachesgreat importance to coeducation of family, society and school on ideological and politicaleducation.
