The differences of different cultures and the powers resulting from the imbalance of Political and economic development make a unidirectional incline between the strong cultures and the weak that the strong cultures flow to the weak cultures.The cultural potential energy and differences cause the unbalance between the cultures. Thus, "Cultural potential difference" is certain to produce different extents of impacts on various aspects of social development. And as far as the impacts are concerned, it is basically divided into positive and negative impact. On the one hand, cultural potential difference brings China a great impact which is implied in the influences and promotion of western cultures to Chinese traditional culture.The aggression of modern western powers for the Chinese refers to several aspects, including social, economic, cultural, military, technology-cultural field. The most profound influence on modern China is the impact of science and technology culture for the process and level of science and cultural development of a country determines the overall national level and the quality of its people. In general, the flow of cultural potential difference is conducive to the development of weak cultures as the injection of advanced science and academic theory of the dominant cultures into the weak ones not only promotes economic and academic development of the latter, but also enriches their cultures. On the other hand, the flow of cultural potential difference has its negative side, that is, the weak cultures are gradually marginalized, assimilated or even perished by the expansion of the dominant cultures in international cultural exchanges. The occurrence of dominant cultures, especially the arrogation of Anglo-American culture prevents the national cultures from their complementarities and common prosperity.Chinese traditional ethnic minorities’ sports sharing a long history represents the old health care system, which is an important part of the traditional ethnic minorities’ culture as well as a wonder of the Chinese splendid culture. Ethnic minorities’traditional sports with its colorful and diverse are loved by the masses. It plays an extremely important role in promoting social development, building up the people’s health, encouraging national pride and confidence, strengthening ethnic harmony, developing national economy and enriching people’s culture and entertainment for life. Guizhou is a multi-national province that in addition to Han nationality, there are 17 nationalities including the Miao, Buyi, Dong, Shui, Tujia nationalities and so on. The historical changes, with geographic and historical factors cause the unique culture and customs, languages which are different from Han nationality, and the development of ethnic minorities in Guizhou is obviously lagging behind the Han nationality. Traditional ethnic minorities’ sports in Guizhou are mostly present in celebrations or large parties. Most of the little-known programs of ethnic minorities’ traditional sports are stilled undiscovered and confronting the danger of extinction. Located in a mountain area, Guizhou has relatively backward transportation and economy, what’s more, the little attention of the government has impeded the healthy development of the ethnic minorities’ traditional sports. Therefore, to study the traditional ethnic minorities’ sports can help the relevant departments to understand its current situation and give priority to their work, and provide a basis for the formulation and decision-making. Meanwhile, it has important significance of the development of traditional ethnic minorities’ sports and the promotion of the economies of minority regions in Guizhou.The characteristic spirit of Chinese nation lying in the superior traditional culture is of great significance of continuation and survival of a nation. Only for young people involved in the heritage and Propagation of the fine traditional cultures can make it maintain vitality. As a college student counselor, the author has worked on political and ideological education for a long time that he profoundly understands the importance of the promotion and love of traditional culture for the students. Particularly the author is living in Guizhou with ethnic minorities in the west, he realizes that it is particularly important to protect ethnic minorities’ traditional culture. The author tries to inspire the students’ enthusiasm to our traditional culture from a viewpoint of the protection of the traditional minorities’sports.
