The party’s congress proposed to promote the popularization of Marxism, and build asocialist core value system, which purpose is to reinforce the contemporary Chinese Marxismin the guiding position of Marxism. The party’s congress by the Sixth Plenary Session of theCPC Central Committee on deepening reform of cultural system to promote development andprosperity of socialist culture, a number of important issues that is the socialist core valuesystem and rejuvenating the soul. The essence of socialist advanced culture determines thedirection of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Adhere to the socialist core value systemto lead the social thought, the whole party and society to form a unified guiding ideology,common ideals and beliefs, a strong spiritual force, and the basic code of ethics.This paper looks at contemporary college students and the mainstream ideology ofsocialism, the ideological crisis and intervention mechanism, which purpose is to guidestudents to correct the mainstream ideology of the party and state recognition. Students of theideological status have a big relation to the development of the country’s direction, and alsorelated to the China’s modernization process and the target could be the smooth realization.This paper is divided into five parts: First, introduction about the research status, purposeand significance of this research, ideas and methods and innovation. Second, make adefinition of related concepts and theoretical research. Third, make a brief description of thesurvey program, from the contemporary college students’status of political ideology, legalideology, moral ideology, religious ideology, philosophy, culture and so on. Then analyzed theresults of the investigation in details; Fourth, the performance of contemporary collegestudents and the reasons for the crisis of ideology. Fifth, build ideological crisis interventionmechanism of contemporary college students, including building the campus ideologicalcrisis monitoring and early warning mechanisms,deepening the main channel for innovativeclassroom teaching mechanism,perfecting university students’ ideological practice evaluationmechanisms, strengthening the ideology of the faculty building mechanisms,and campusnetwork control mechanism,enhancing the theory of socialist ideology more attractive tostudents,dialectical analysis of social thought to eliminate the adverse effects on collegestudents. What’s more, setting up a college student itself study mechanism of the ideologicaleducation.
