Juveniles with delinquent behaviour. whose age ranges from10to18, refer to a group of minors who break the school rules and principles, social moral standards and the regulations of public security and administration. Nowadays. China is in the period of social transition, thus this group of people has increasingly aroused attention from all walks of life since they are always regarded as a main portion and a potential power in most cases of juvenile crime. This dissertation aims to study the delinquent behaviors made by juveniles. Based on a large amount of successful foreign experience in treating juveniles with delinquent behaviors, the author tries to analyse the shortage of the present ways of treatment in China and provide conceptions for the remedies work by illustrating the major types of delinquent behaviors and exploring the causes of such behaviors. This dissertation also focuses on the delinquent behaviors conducted by juveniles through the research idea of cause and effect as well as the systematic perspective, making the causal relationship of delinquent behaviors of juveniles run throughout the whole research process so as to probe the current condition, the possible reasons and methods of treatment in terms of not only an individual unity but also a related and ordered integral unity. Given the specific procedure and method, the author resorts to social investigation and empirical study, using representative examples and statistics as supplements so as to enrich the thesis. There five main conclusions:First, delinquent behaviors conducted by juveniles are on the edge of illegal crime since the commom process of a crime consists of the following steps as contaminating with the bad habits----conducting delinquent behaviors---committing a crime. Second, besides the factors caused by juveniles themselves, the influence of family environment, the improper ways of school education and the contamination of public morals are also the chief causes of the appearance of delinquent behaviors. Third, when researching the family and school factors, the author point out that some defects in the legislations of Parents custody and teacher’s right of education are the fundamental causes that lead to the dereliction of guardians and teacher’s afraid of disciplining students.Fourth,Researches prove that waifs are most likely to fall into the group of juveniles who have delinquent behaviors because their circumstance.condition and the objects they contact in everyday life will easily induce them to conduct delinquent behaviors. Therefore, the involved officials in government departments should do their utmost to succour and remedy those waifs. Fifth, in China, there are many problems existing in the treatment of reform education, which is also a reason for the decline of reformatory schools in recent years. In order to revitalize reformatory schools, it is necessary to give full play to the educational and treatment role of them. The basic viewpoint this dissertation tries to express is that although juveniles conduct delinquent behaviors as a result of a combined action from both internal and external causes, the external causes play a leading role in cases concerning minors whose age ranges from10to18. During this period, these children have to experience the immaturity of their minds and the weakness of their judgement, but all this is bound to be changed with the flow of time. However, what needs to be considered is the protection of juveniles from such aspects as family environment, parental responsibility, school education, public moral and legislation. Thus, family, school, society and related institute should make joint efforts to rectify delinquent behaviors conducted by juveniles as soon as possible.
