With the development of our society,the progress of human beings,and the social competitionbecoming increasingly fierce,the demand standard for the talents’ quality is becoming higher and higher.Ifwanting to fit in with the increasingly intense society,all kinds of talents must have high emotionalintelligence and could self-study,understand and control their emotions,could correctly understandthemselves and cultivate higher EQ.But now the education in our country only focuses on student’s culturalknowledge learning,not too much concerned about the student’s inner world.Because most of middle schoolstudents are in this particular period of adolescence,if lacking of the right education and guidance,it willcause some psychological problems, which could cause great impact on their living and learning. Asmiddle school students age,their mind and body develop rapidly,and hence the desire for independence willbecome stronger and stronger.Because of college entrance examination, high school students are faced withvery high pressure of study. If not taken carefully,they might have psychological problems on their livesand learning,particularly the high school students whose psychology is not mature,and cannot recognizethem.This article is doing a systematic research to the EQ of middle school students,which is based on theprevious research findings,with the help of the subject knowledge of psychology,education and sociologyand so on,and by the means of many research approaches such as document search and survey.Threesections are included in this article:the first section talks about the implication of EQ of middle schoolstudents. EQ was put forward earliest by famous American psychologists Peter Salovey and Dr. JohnMayer in common in the90th of last century. then the experts and scholars of various countries researchedand studied deeply on it. and finally EQ has been applied to educational field. The research about EQ mainly include four aspects: self-understanding and self-management; the ability of understanding andadjusting the emotions of others; self excitation and the ability of dealing with Interpersonal relationship.EQ for students in middle school education plays a very important role, First of all, the EQ can improve thestudents’ intelligence development. Secondly, the EQ is conducive to enhancing students’ selfconsciousness. Then the EQ is conducive to developing the sound personality of middle school students.Last but not least, the EQ help students physical and psychological health development. The second partmainly analyzes the problems about the students’ EQ. We analyze from the school, family and students’perspective then think that the question about students EQ mainly includes four aspects: Lack of selfcognition ability; Lack of the ability of understanding and adjusting the emotions of others; Lack of selfpsychological adjustment ability; Lack of interpersonal interaction skills.The last section is the effectiveways of enhancing the EQ of middle school students from three respects respectively. Middle schoolstudents’ EQ needs far more than the high importance from school education and the care from family, andwhat’s more critical is that the students themselves are also supposed to make unremitting efforts.
