With the growing of economic globalization, education information and network, the talents of21thcentury face higher request which require teachers to improve their own quality, revising education idea,changing updated knowledge, etc. But this kind of change on teachers is the embodiment of the teachers’personality characteristic, also from a certain degree, require teacher to influence the formation anddevelopment of student’s personality with his own personality.As the main traits of teacher’s group, teachers’ personality bears, not only social stability, integrity,plasticity, peculiarity, generality and so on all general characteristics, but also has the professionalcharacteristics of educational, demonstration, nobility and perfect. The personality characteristic on goodteachers is the other teacher learning and following example, and also is the source where teachers can playtheir personal value.Through making the questionnaire survey of students and teachers, it is conclude that: the differentstages of the students pay different attention to teacher’s personality characteristics;80%of the studentsadmitted that because of teachers like the subjects; teachers who are humor, wit, rich knowledge, caringteachers is more welcome;70%of teachers say that the personality of teacher can influence the naughtystudent personality remarkably. Again through the classroom case analysis, furthermore from the practiceof teachers’ personality confirmed that the personality of teacher affect students. At the same time it isexplored that the personality of teachers affects students in three mechanisms: namely suggestionmechanism, imitate mechanism and identity mechanism. Suggestion refers to "use implied, indirect way toaffect other psychology and the behavior. The result of influence action often will make other peopleunconsciously do the same action, or the uncritical accept some proposals or belief." Imitation is a behaviorcaused by a man who is irritated by uncontrollable social stimulation, his behaviors is the same with theexample. Identification refers that person has the same relationship with others and is the process of havingsame goal and value with others. Rely on the above, I propose that the teacher should play their ownpersonality impact on the students following the four aspects: the teacher take their sincere love to infectstudents; the teacher take their noble character to cultivate students’ taste; the teacher take their elegant behavior to set a good example for students; the teacher take the profound knowledge to inspire students’interesting.The classroom is the main place where teachers and students can communicate with each other.Therefore, the teacher should consciously mold good teachers personality, and to realize that the affectionto students is not underestimated, during the teaching in the classroom, teacher should set an example forstudents, fully display their own personality, in order to promote students overall and healthy growth,andform good personality.
