After long years of theoretical study, French sociologist, Pierre Bourdieu,(Pierre Bourdieu,1930-2002) made an original survey and elucidation on reflexive sociology from his uniquetheoretical perspective. Then he has become one of the most famous sociologists in the presentage. In recent years, researches on Bourdieu’s reflexive sociology ideology have been the focusof people’s attention. In modern society, such phenomena as “moral degradation” have increased, but little effect of moral education has been achieved, to which public attention is paid gradually. There is an important main line of moral education running through the ideology of Bourdieu’sreflexive sociology. It is of great significance to make clear this main line so as to consider thevarious phenomena in moral education and the developing direction of moral education inmodern society.By analyzing in depth the theoretical origins and foundation of Bourdieu’s reflexivesociology ideology, this paper elaborates its several core concepts and viewpoints in detail, onthe basis of which the morality involved in a series of theories about reflexive sociology arefurther analyzed: the formation of moral habitus and the launch of moral practice are importantconditions for moral internalization of individuals; teachers’ moral language is a significantmeans in the process of moral education; the accumulation of cultural capital is indispensable toindividuals’ moral growth; individuals’ active participation is the main means of moral education;and so on.In addition, according to the morality theories in Bourdieu’s reflexive sociology ideology, Iput forward my proposition about the reform of moral education in today’s China: the aims ofmoral education should be to promote the realization of individuals’ moral internalization; moraleducation should play a full role of hidden curriculum in individuals’ moral growth; moraleducation should make proper use of teachers’ authority, which play a positive role to theindividual; moral education should promote effective moral practice activities and realize the realmoral internalization of individuals. In the end, from the angle of moral education, the paperpoints out the limitations of Bourdieu’s reflexive sociology ideology, and thus analyzes itsinspiration for our country’s moral education in a more objective and reasonable way.
