Pierre Bourdieu is one of the most influential contemporary French sociologists in the world. He has a lot of work, involved a wide field. These works contain a large number of education sociology thought, which gives great enlightenment and leading value to the education theory research and education practice.Pierre Bourdieu pays more attention to analyzing education system in his researches. He wants to reveal the logic of social reproduction in modern society, as well as the camouflage and maintenance of the reproduction mechanism.As a contemporary critical sociology master, Bourdieu invested the higher education system in French, analyzed its operation logic, and indicated the social inequities from the perspective of cultural roots. Although the experience data he collected and the discussion area he involved have a certain degree of particularity, Pierre Bourdieu’s research intention and the depth of his analysis bring world a significant influence.This paper, by means of literature research on Pierre Bourdieu’s sociological thought in education, conducts a system classification; makes a further study and then shows reader a realistic reflection.The first part:this section mainly introduces reader the purpose and method of writing this paper. In the meantime, readers can be noticed about existing research classification from abroad and domestic area.The second part:This part mainly introduces Bourdieu’s personal life and major works, and thus further investigates on the main source of his theoretical thought.The third part:The third part mainly introduces the main frame of Bourdieu’s sociological thought in education. In order to give readers a full understanding, the frame explains respectively from three Angle:the methodology, the core concept, theoretical support expansion.The fourth part:This part mainly introduces Bourdieu’s analysis on higher education system in France, respectively from the institutional organization, the main actors and operation mechanism in this section.The fifth part:This part mainly reflects the real society by using Bourdieu’s sociological thought in education. Simultaneously, it discusses the symbol violence in teaching and Education blind expansion.The rapid growth of contemporary cultural market has increased the practical significance of the cultural phenomenon, so now the research of Bourdieu’s sociological thought in education seems very significant. This paper combs and re-interprets Bourdieu’s sociological thought in education. On the one hand, the article more systematically summarizes the concepts of Bourdieu’s education and philosophy of education, also new research perspective in the phenomenon of social education is reached, which is good at the re-understanding between the culture and the power relationship within the education fields. On the other hand, the paper also unearths a deep-seated research propositions about Sociology of Education, such as reflection of microscopic aspects of symbolic violence, as well as helping provide useful lessons on specific technical issues in the teaching process (such as teaching language, assessment system). The reflection of the macro aspects of the relationship between the expansion of higher education and education fair can help provide reliable theoretical basis for the government to promote fairness in the formulation of education policy and education reform. Finally, Bourdicu has been emphasizing the importance of the relationship of thinking and always work towards the establishment of a reflection of society. Although this paper reflects the current Chinese educational reality by using Bourdieu’s educational sociology thought, it more stays at the level of drawing from his theories. Due to this, the reflection analysis and critique efforts need to be strengthened.
