With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, knowledge has become a decisive factor in social development, the value and importance of knowledge is gradually being accepted by society.How to apply the knowledge,that the knowledge to maximize utility increasingly attention by people.There is a lot of tacit knowledge in geography teaching activities,such tacit knowledge is an indispensable part of geography teaching.Tap the tacit knowledge in the teaching of geography can improve geographical thinking skills of students, includng students’ understandign,analyzign and problem-solving skills,the lerning migration capabilities,and innovative thinking ability, and help students to develop good feelings, attitudes and values.Put analysis of tacit knowledge into teaching to enhance students’ learning knowledge of geography systematically and the three-dimensional sense, improve the interest of student learning geographical knowledge, and improve the effect of classroom teaching.In this study, first proposed the background of the research questions,summarized to study the status at home and abroad on the theory of tacit knowledge, and explained the significance. ideas and methods of this study; followed by analysis of the theory of tacit knowledge, research the tacit knowledge of geography teaching process, analyze its content, features and dominance: Finally, put forward the revelation of the tacit knowledge theory to geography teaching:update teaching concepts, change teaching strategies and improve the teaching environment and conditions.In order to make a more reasonable explanation for the teachers’ attitudes and behavior change factors of the traditional teaching in the process of reform of geography teaching, rich the theoretical perspective of exploring the geographical knowledge, as well as produce beneficial inspiration on educational practice, make the geography teachers’ silent aesthetic domain...
