The peasant’s basketball competition, which has agood basement for public basketball, is one of the most successful sports in the sport and healthseries activities of He Nan province. Thus it is necessary to push forward the development ofpublic basketball in Nan Yang. The CPC central committee has promulgated policies onconstructing the Central Plains economic zone, which means the economy of the Central Plainswill have a qualitative in a short time.Employing literature study, questionnaire method, logical analysis and mathematicalstatistics method, and through the investigation of the present basketball status in Nan Yang andthe analysis of the problems in basketball courses of Nan Yang community, this thesis analyzesthe factors influencing the launching of basketball profoundly and puts forward responsesaccordingly.The survey shows that the participant rate of basketball activity in NanYang is low, andthere is a large gap to that of Jiao Zuo, where the public basketball goes well. As to people takingpart in the activity, teenagers take up a big proportion, while the middle-aged and elderly arerather few. Besides, the activity lacks effective organization and management, and there is notmany activity and competition. What’s worse, the investing capital is not much, and they relymostly on the allocation of government. The factors influencing the development of basketball inNan Yang are as follows: economy, the features of basketball, weather, place, culture,government policies and large-scale sport games. As to the problems above, the author offersome proposals: the present participant’s reasonably instructing to people around, moretechnology support to community sports, the strengthen of investment to the organization andmanagement of staffs, the increasing of funds, the holding of various activities, the establishmentof policies beneficial to the public to enhance propaganda, and the guiding of more privatecapital to the self-improvement of community basketball.
