Neo-liberalism is a theory which began in late eighteen Century and gradually formed in the1930s in the capitalist countries. It became the dominant social ideological trend of Western capitalist countries in the1970s and1980s. It catered to the need that the state monopoly changed to the international monopoly. From a purely academic theory to the politicized matter, Neo-liberalism became an ideology. It finally changed to a tool that the international monopoly can expand all over the world. Now China is experiencing the reforming and opening up. Neo—liberalism also infiltrate into our country through various channels, influencing on Chinese economy, politics and culture. The impact on college students is more prominent. College students are in a Stage which mental and physical aspects are unstable. Their outlook on world, life and value are also in the formation period. They are not only learning the mainstream political culture advocated by the society, but also having a big impact by the political subculture. In this critical period of political socialization, we must strengthen the ideological and political education, allowing them to adopt a scientific attitude and consciously resist the erosion of Neo-liberalism.In this paper, I first analysis the concept of Neo-liberalism and the college students’ political socialization, finding out the combination of them. On the basis of investigation, I analysis the Neo-liberalism’s influence on College Students’ political socialization. After that, I focus on the solution of how to eliminate the adverse effect of Neo-liberalism and to strengthen the college students’political socialization.The thesis consists of three parts:the first part covers the Neo—liberalism’s impact on the college students’political socialization; The second part discusses the root why Neo-liberalism can have an impact on the political socialization of college students; The third part is designed to investigate a feasible guideline from the angle of the universities on the basis of negative effects and its cause analysis, so as to help those undergraduates acknowledge the correct political cognition, stand firm political belief, cultivate good political emotion and establish political behavior expected by the society.
