Research On The Link Between Geography Teaching In Junior And Senior High School Under The Curriculum Reform

Geography teaching in the high school is a higher level of geography education, set on the basis of compulsory education. Most of the geography teachers do not know much about the situation of the geography teaching in junior school, so they can not guide the freshman to suit the learning of Geography in senior school. The poor linking-up of geography teaching between junior and senior high school has a poor quality of the geography teaching in high school. With the development of geography curriculum reform in Wuhan, the linking-up of Geography teaching between junior and senior high school is attached by more teachers. Therefore, linking-up of the geography education between junior and senior high school is a necessary step to lessen disparity and improve geography teaching quality in high school.The System theories, the Geography Teaching theories, the Cognitive Learning theories and the Constructivist Learning theories have a based on the linking-up of Geography teaching between junior and senior high school. The paper takes the method of analysis and comparison in writings and method of questionnaire survey. The survey is to study the students who are in situation of senior highs about geography learning. For find the strategy to solve the linking-up about geography teaching and in the last part design a teaching case.Through the study of the linking-up of the text, the teaching methods and the learning methods, the teachers should concern with students, improve their teaching methods and make students study well. In the learning of geography, the students not only get the knowledge, but get the skills of how to pondering over, and learn well.
