The reformation on high school PE curriculum took place in four provinces (includingGuangdong province) in September2004, and got into the southern region of Fujian provincein2006. The new teaching concepts challenge all the high school PE teachers.With the help of questionnaire and On-the-spot interview, the research want to find outthe present status of the southern region cities in Fujian province’s high school PE curriculumimplementations, and learn from the mistakes, where it should work as references for thereforms’ improvement in a scientific and reasonable way.The conclusion is as follows: the condition is still far from being satisfactory from highschools in south Fujian province, and the teachers and students have not really realized thefundamental idea of the new curriculum, they don’t understand the new theory; Influences bythe playgrounds, equipments and time schedules, PE teachers rarely change their teachingmaterials and teaching style, and the Morning exercises and setting-up exercises during thebreak are still the major contents in after-class physical activities, lacking in flavors orinterests; Teaching evaluation focus on teachers’ evaluation, such misleading tendency isdisadvantageous to students’ all-round development. And the Exploitations and utilizations inphysical education curriculum content rely on the physical curriculum itself,ignoring theother methods. All these problems should be the focus for the reformation workers andteachers in this region in the future, and at last some suggestions are laid out on thesefoundations.
