| Purpose: In recent years, run-up forward somersault has been applied by most athletes in balance beam competition because of its high level of difficulty. While such movement has a high demanding for take off technique and coordination of the whole body, the stability becomes one of the factors for the athlete to make a good performance. The paper analyses kinematics indicators of the run-up forward somersault of the female gymnasts of National Gymnastics in order to identify the technical features of such movement, which provides theoretical basis for teaching of the coaches and athlete training.Method:13gymnasts joining National Gymnastics Championship in2010and2011are taken as objects of study; the beam area is calibrated in3D using three300HZ high-speed cameras to make synchronizing shooting for all forward somersault movements. Taking the well-performed movements chosen by the coaches of National Gymnastics as the material, the study obtain the kinematics data by using applied image analyzing system and then process the data with the application the digital filter technology.Content: Applying to the video analyzing system, the author makes the image analyzing of the movements such as forward tucked somersault, bent front somersault, half turning forward tucked somersault and half turning bent front somersault. In this way, the author gains the key kinematics indicators such as horizontal speed, vertical speed and displacement of the body gravity of the athletes during the running-up, taking off, flying and falling on the beam as well as the angle main joint and body turning.Conclusion:1.The author shows the key kinematics indicators of the performance of run-up forward somersault by applying statistical methods.2. By comparing with Lu jia, the new world beam champion, the study concludes there are such problems as low speed for run-up, small taking-off angle and insufficient height for gymnasts in China to perform forward somersault.3. As the difficulty level of forward somersault increases, the gymnasts need to improve the ability to gain a higher speed in a short run-up. They also need to extend the buffering time relatively, enhance braking effect, shorten the kicking and stretching, improve explosive low limbs strength so as to improve angular momentum of the body and provide force for the following jumping and turning. At the same time, they need to enlarge the angle of taking off in order to gain a bigger taking off height and have enough time and apace to complete the turning movements. |
