With the development of Chinese economy, International school is facing its golden age in China. It also becomes an important stage of educational and cultural exchange between China and the world. International school has a strong economic strength, advanced educational conception, beautiful teaching environment and a powerful team of teaching staff. Physical education plays a very important role in the educational system of international school and its reform is key to the reform of school physical education. Research on the current situation of the physical education of the International school is helpful to grasp the trend of the development of physical education teaching, thus providing suggestions for its development.In this paper, six international schools are selected as the researching objects, they are the Beijing international school (ISB), Beijing Australia international school (NIT), Beijing HuiJia international school, Beijing BISS international school (BISS), Beijing land gent international school, and Beijing yew international school (YCIS). After having thorough investigatations and analyses about the sports teaching aim, teaching plan, learning evaluation, learning communication, teaching methods and teaching evaluation and the trend of the development of physical education of these schools by using documentary analysis method, observation method, interview and questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method, logic analysis methods and using the pedagogy, logic, school sports teaching theory and others related theory knowledge combing with my own working experience, I put forward some referential suggestions to the sports development of international school and conclude as follows:1The physical education teachers in Beijing international schools are very professional teachers, the teaching team include either foreign teachers in developed countries or Chinese excellent sports teachers and most of them have higher educational qualifications and knowledge accumulation. They are positive, responsible, hard-working and have made a great contribution to the development of international school sports teaching.2Leaders of the Beijing international schools pay more attention to the development of sports teaching, meanwhile, parents and teachers are also very concerned about the students’sports development. Teachers not only have detailed and innovative teaching plan but they can finish their teaching tasks on time and reach the goal as well.3Most of the students in Beijing international schools can devote themselves to their physical learning, of course, there are other students who lack interest and sports awareness in learning sports so that they always can’t make correct judgment and choose the suitable sports to learn.4In Beijing international schools, sports teaching goals are very clear and they make different strategies for different sports. Their teaching plan is perfect and the teaching method innovated positively with the development of the sports teaching, all of these mobilize the enthusiasm of the students fully. The teaching organization is developing towards a diverse and personal way.5The Beijing international schools have good sports field and equipments. They keep on exploring and make consistent progress in new sports program. They also pay attention to the optimization of the teaching environment, create harmonious and democratic relationship between teachers and students and get main body status embodiment significantly.
