The winter training period is an important training stage in the professional league preparative stage which is the basic training period to ensure the completion the whole year’s training and match series. All high level club football teams in China and abroad are very serious about this stage and try to be well prepared in physical fitness and techniques etc. for the new season. That how to improve the training quality during the winter training stage through scientific way is a necessary study task in current football training field.In this article we try to learn the training situation of our domestic high level club men football team in winter training period through the study of their training features. Based on the training situation in winter training period we conclude the training advantage and disadvantage and then discuss about some training ways and methods to improve the training quality in the future and to contribute to the competitive sports position of our football professional league.In this article we study the training features in winter training period to our domestic high level club men football team by documentation, observation, statistics, questionnaire method and specialists interviews to obtain the below results:1. The physical training sequence is principal the same at preparative stage. First they begin from aerobic training and then go to anaerobic stamina training and final to speed and strength training. During the match preparative period it’s mainly in aerobic stamina and specific stamina training. At the beginning of the season there will be no more stamina training but mainly on speed and strength training. The load strength is from light to heavy and load characteristic is from aerobics to anaerobics. The purpose is to lay the foundation for high strength speed and strength training after the aerobic stamina achieve the high level stage. 2. The training lesions and training time arrangements for all the Chinese premier league teams participating in2009Kunming winter training period are all far exceed the Holland football training specialist requirements to professional players during the preparative period. if there are two lesions in one day, the total training time should not exceed150minutes while our teams training time is about200minutes in average and all the teams training time is much more than150minutes.3. There are two obvious stages in the winter training period for our high level club football teams. The transfer point is the players physical test time. Before the test, the training is non-antagonism orientated, especially for physical training. After the test, the training is antagonism orientated and the training strength and aim are very close to the real match. The clubs are very positive to look for warm up matches and the matches are scheduled very close to adjust the teams conditions to the match situation.4. The training in winter training period should be centered on techniques and well prepared on football specific physical training work with well supervision at training time.
