With China’s rapid economic and social development, human resources has becomeincreasingly important in community. In order to train more personnel to meet the needs ofthe community, China has conducted ongoing reforms of basic education. But there are stillmany problems in the actual teaching reform, for example, the reform of teaching methodswhich has not achieved whole breakthrough.The present concept of education insists on notion of people-oriented and moraleducation for the first, pays attention to cultivate students’ creative ability and practical abilityin order to promote the overall development of students. The main way of obtaining soundpersonality and formation of correct world outlook of students is through ideological andpolitical lessons of senior schools. So the teachers’ ability to use appropriate teaching methodsin ideological and political class not only relates to the mastery of students’ scientific andcultural knowledge but also relates to the formation of students’ intrinsic moral quality. It isimperative to promote the reform of teaching methods of ideological and political lesson insenior school concering the requirements of students own development and the educationreform itself. Only if the teaching methods of ideological and political lesson changed, it ispossible to make the ideological and political class full of vitality and achieve students’comprehensive developments.Through the study of teaching methods of the present middle schools’ ideological andpolitical lesson, This article analysizes the needs for reform of senior schools’ ideological andpolitical lesson teaching methods and the difficulties encountered in the reform etc. Then thearticle trys to put forward countermeasures to promote the reform of teaching methods ofideological and political lesson in senior school.This article can be divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction involving the background of question in thesis andoverview of the research status; The second part is a fundamental part of the thesis in whichillustrates the need for reform of teaching methods of ideological and political lesson in seniorschool and puts forward existing problems. This lays the foundation for the writing of thelater part of the thesis. The third part puts forward the principles of reform of teachingmethods of ideological and political lesson in senior school from the point of view of practical teaching and further analysizes the constraints impacting reform. Part IV puts forward theways to promote change of teaching methods in senior school according to the constraints ofideological and political curriculum and the basis of the principles.
