With the popularity of increasing enrollment in the universities and senior high schools,there has been a dramatic decline in our traditional secondary vocational education, whichresults in a large number of students with mathematics learning difficulties flooding into thesecondary vocational school. Facing so many students who have mathematics learningdifficulties, the questions “What are the reasons for their learning difficulties” and “How tohelp them get rid of the dilemma” become the urgent task of each math teacher in secondaryvocational schools. Therefore, as teachers, we must change our education theory, set up newtheory of qualified people as well as quality, and timely help our students with mathematicslearning difficulties so as to improve our nation’s qualities.Based on some relevant studies, this study analyzes the reasons for maths learningdifficulties, and put forward related solving strategies by involving the research method ofquestionnaire、interview and follow-up studies of students with maths learning difficulties.The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter I is overview, which states the researchbackground, objective and significance. Chapter II is about literature review that describes ageneral overview of relevant study theories, including definitions of mathematical learningdifficulties, research history as well as its development. Chapter III mainly focuses on theinvestigation and analysis of secondary vocational students’ learning situations andmotivations. Chapter Ⅳ analyzes the causes and features of maths learning difficulties insecondary vocational universities, based on the relevant education theory and the existingresearch results,together with present situation investigation. Chapter V based on the aboveanalysis,puts forward some precautionary measures, transformation systems and specificsolving strategies.
