With the implementation of elementary education curriculum reform in the whole country,the newchemistry curriculum highly advocates that the chemistry teaching should meet the needs of the studentsand social development, and aim at improving the scientific literacy of students. The new chemistrycurriculum also promotes the diverse learning methods based on scientific research, and pays moreattention to the development of students’ learning method. As we all know, education of Chemistry inmiddle school is an important part of elementary science education, and the Chemistry Concept Teachingplays such an important role in learning in middle school. Chemistry concept is rational and conceptualknowledge which is abstracted from chemical phenomena and facts, consequently reflecting the chemicalphenomena and essence of facts and revealing the essential property of materials. Therefore, chemicalconcept is very abstract, generalized and logical.It is not only the key points in chemistry teaching, but thedifficulty points as well. So how to effectively learn the basic concepts of chemistry in the middle schoolis becoming highly important. Chemical concept is not only the basic knowledge to establish chemicalscience system and carry on chemical learning, but also the most basic tools used for reasoning andthinking activity. Therefore, teaching chemistry concept well for teachers and learning it well forstudents at middle school become very important for students in their studies and development throughtheir lifeCombined with background of the new curriculum reform, after consulting literatures and fullyunderstanding of domestic and international relevant chemistry concept teaching on the basis of researchresults, the subject analyzes the background and significance of research based on the present chemistryconcept teaching of Grade Nine. It elaborates relevant learning theory through consulting literatures, andsort out theoretical basis of the grade nine chemistry concept teaching theory with reference to relevantresearch results. In teaching practice, based on students’ oriented development concept, combiningcharacteristics of the students and chemistry concept of grade nine, the paper analyses and sums upchemistry concept teaching method and strategy of grade nine. In practical teaching activities, it gives fullconsideration to the development of students, designs reasonable concept teaching strategy, implements specific chemical concept teaching examples through reasonable design of class structure and arrangement,further shows grade nine chemistry concept teaching strategies and their efficiency in practice, then formsmulti-effective teaching cases. The paper makes detailed introduction and case analysis especially on theconcept map used chemistry concept teaching in grade nine, thus provides inspiration and reference forteachers in the implementation of chemistry concept teaching.This paper carries on research through literature analysis, survey method, observation practice methodetc, and obtains positive results of the chemistry concept teaching strategies in practice research through theexperimental comparison before and after questionnaire and students’ achievement,. In the end, it analysesproblems that may occur in the implementation of chemistry concept teaching strategy in grade nine andputs forward the reasonable countermeasures. At last the paper offers proposals for the problems whichteachers and students should pay attention to chemistry concept teaching in grade nine.
