Teachers’ growth is the process of teachers’ occupation career development, not only embodies in their work by learning how teaching, accessing appropriate skills of teachers’ role and norm; but also in his occupation career, with constantly self-renewing and self-improvement to achieve the value of life process. Therefore, for teachers’ growth, their individuals identity of teacher occupation is not only a decisive factor to become a qualified teacher, but also is the decisive factor which is affecting their motivation and enthusiasm in the development of occupation career process. What’s more, is an important factor that restricted on the level of their professional development. Concerned on teachers’ development, it has a vital significance to enhance teachers’ self professional identity and organizational commitment, realize teachers’ personal happiness and stabilize the teachers troop.This paper selects the coast of Zhejiang and central part of Anhui provinces’ part of cities and counties’ teachers which graduated in normal school in1980s and1990s for the study object, through analyzing the comparison of the growth conditions of normal school education background of teachers in Zhejiang and Anhui provinces from four dimensions include teachers’ identity, academic status, professional development and occupation career status, to examine the differences in the growth conditions of the compulsory education teachers between Zhejiang and Anhui, the two different economic and cultural environment provinces. Paper analysis the impact of compulsory education teachers’ growth and external from the teachers’ growth environment factors such as education policy, the social environment, school leadership and school culture, combined by teachers’ personal factor which contains teacher seniority, representation, gender, occupation ideal, subjective initiative and individual cognitive level, and concludes that, come to the differences in the level of economic development is the main reason causing the difference of growth status of teachers in Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. National policy guidance and regional economic development level are also the main factors affecting the growth of compulsory education teachers, what’s more, teachers’lack of career aspirations is also an important reason which is hindered in the teachers healthy growth. In addition, the style of school leadership, campus culture atmosphere are also plays an essential role on the growth of teachers.Basis on all the above all, the paper suggests to optimize the social environment, carry forward the fine tradition of respecting of teachers, and effectively improve the social status of teachers; innovative education policy, reform the system of teacher training and qualification; advocate people-oriented management style,take the developing teacher evaluation, deepen teachers’ professional ideals training, and enhance teachers’ personal autonomy and so on, which is constructive to promote teacher growth.
