On20th century, Chinese society had a zigzag development, the rural clan experienced many changes, the female life in lineage village had ups and downs, they interpreted a winding and vivid history in participating public life. For the consideration of Return Visit, this study’s fieldwork place selected the typical linage village in Lin Yaohua’s article-Zhongting Village, Yixu, Fujian. Based on the antecedent scholars’s research of clan organization, as the breakthrough point of gender perspective, this study analysis the history of lineage village’s female public life on the three stages " the Republic of China, the period of People’s Commune, the period of reform and opening ",in order to understand the complex relationship of national construction, clan changes and female’s life, to reveal female’s subjective initiative. In the opinion of the author, female often consciously adjust their "meaning world" and thus determine the form and content of public life, in different social situations and different stages of life. They are improviser and actors on their survival status.
