Folk Religion In Lineage Village

The research on the lineage village and folk beliefs has been always a hotspot in the area of cultural anthropology in China. This thesis treats Linpu village in the outskirt of Fuzhou City as an individual case for researching. We will deeply investigate and carefully analyze the folk beliefs of lineage village with the combination of field study and local documents study. Based on the detailed description on the natural and humane environment and Clan Lam of Linpu village, this article will not only display the status of the existence and development of folk beliefs in Linpu village with complete picture, but also analyze the mutual relationship between the lineage and the development of folk beliefs in lineage village. Besides, we will achieve more knowledge about the theories of Sacrifice to gods and ancestors and Belief Circle. In order to make a slender contribution to the study of rural folk beliefs in the field of anthropology, this thesis will describe the present situation of the folk beliefs which belong to a lineage village in the outskirt of Fuzhou City, and also display the full picture of humane and natural environment and social transition of them.
