There are many risk-involved accidents happening along with the fast developmenet of commercial sport event in China. Golf becoming the official program in2016Brazil Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games has provided good development opportunites for China’s commercial golf event. While China’s negetive attitude toward golf course construction has posed severe challenge for development of China’s commercial golf event. This paper will take2011Lake Malaren Shanghai Masters as the example to do the comprehensive and extensive risk management research so as to provide some practical suggestions for LMSM’s sponsors and organizers.My research target is the operational risks and its countermeasures of2011Lake Malaren Shanghai Masters. The methods of literature review, case study and field research are used in my paper. The conclusions will be as follows:(1) The necessity to apply risk management theory2011LMSM lies in the intensive game relation between profits and risks.(2)CCTV-IMG shall enhance the relationship with government to avoid the political risks.(3) The sponsors shall shorten the financial approving process and promote its flexibility to avoid the financial risks.(4) CCTV-IMG shall popularize the golf rules and etiquette to avoid the cultural risks.(5)CCTV-IMG shall raise the awareness of risk management and keep improving the emergency response plans.
