Education in our country has long ignored students’ different learning needs. The "onesize fits all" education condition not only hold back each student’s maximum development,but also hinder the development of multiple types of talents. According to this kind ofsituation, this paper proposed the idea of "differentiated teaching". Differentiated teaching is akind of teaching idea which " is based on student’s individuality differences in class teaching,meet different students’ learning needs and promote each student to obtain the fulldevelopment".To meet students’ different learning need is the essence of differentiated teaching, whichis becoming more and more important with the advancing of education equity andharmonious development of everyone student. The true meaning of education equity refers tothe satisfaction of different students’ learning need and developing need, and due to thedifferent personal conditions and different maximum developing limit, differentiated teachingbecomes an inevitable choice. Now during the promoting of quality-oriented education in ourcountry, differentiated teaching provides a practical model from concept to strategy method,which direct teaching to face all students and to promote the development of each studentmaximally. Consequently, the theory and practice research of differentiated teaching is of vitalsignificance to the enrichment and development of Chinese teaching theory.This paper is based on the research of present management situation of differentiatedteaching in Yantai senior high schools. The research results show as follow: The unique formand intention of differentiated teaching won more attention from schools and teachers and ithas become an efficient way to found the harmonious and high-efficient class for schools andteachers, who benefit a lot from differentiated teaching. Differentiated teaching advocates thatstudents learn their subjects according to their abilities, which can better stimulate thestudents’ learning initiative and can help students maintain normal, active learning modes. Theimplement of differentiated teaching not only helps to cultivate the students’ subject learningability, but also helps to form individualized learning methods and good study habits, whichbringing the improvement of the quality of the students’ learning. Students are the final andbiggest beneficiaries from differentiated teaching. Differentiated teaching is changing school teaching routines, and at the same time, it alsohas brought new problems, increasing the school management difficulty. To implementdifferentiated teaching smoothly in senior high schools, this paper puts forward the followingmanagement measures: To make the differentiated teaching management system perfectgradually; to arrange teachers accordingly for different class levels; to make all levels of theteaching goal explicit; to establish a scientific and effective evaluation systems for all subjectsand classes; to enrich extracurricular counseling forms, and carry out cooperative grouplearning; to increases the propaganda of differentiated; to strengthen the nurturance educationof students’ good behavior habits.
