| Since the1990s, China’s third largest groups---peasant-workers begin to act in thesocial arena. Living for a long time in the cities which compared with their own cultureis different, many problems of peasant-workers increasingly occur. Besides its regularproblems, such as the identity problem, living problem, rights of these people, theproblem about the culture adaption of the peasant-workers has been concerned by theauthor.There are two kinds of cultural adaptation in peasant-workers who live in differentcities. They are Urban-rural cultural adaptation and geographical cultural adaptation.In this paper the author investigated Hubei peasant-workers living in Heilongjiangprovince. By contrast with the students from Hubei who are studying now inHeilongjiang University, the author finds this group refuses to adapt to local culture andtheir adaptation to local cultural adaptation is passive. It is a unique model of this group.At last, the author explains the reasons behind this particular adaptation model infurther. |
