Henan Province Sports Specialized University Student Basketballreferees Study On Status Of Cultivating

Basketball in China is one of the most popular sports. It needs to keep on training basketball refereesof different classes and different levels, aiming to adapt to the development of this sport. In China, thereare no special schools set up for training basketball referees. The selection and training of referees mainlydepends on the various competition departments and associations. Particularly, college students majoringin physical education are the main source of these referees. Physical Education in universities focuses oncultivating students’ basketball refereeing skills. Therefore, how to cultivate and improve students’refereeing skills is of great significance for team building and improving the students’ future teaching andcompetition abilities.Based on the development of basketball in the colleges of Henan Province, the present researchstudies students’ refereeing abilities both on theory and practice. It aims to reveal the characteristics ofstudents’ refereeing abilities and then make some measures to adapt to the development of the refereeingabilities of college students majoring in basketball. Then, it will meet the basic law of the school sports,implement the basic tasks of the school sports in an all-round way, and provide a theoretical basis and newideas in further improving and developing college basketball in Henan Province.The author makes a survey on the current state of students’ basketball refereeing ability by means ofthe literature, questionnaire, logical analysis, and mathematical statistics. The analysis shows that studentsmajoring in basketball of Henan Colleges speak highly of refereeing in teaching and are greatly interestedin basketball refereeing, yet, are unskilled in mastering the theory of competition rules of basketball,basketball refereeing law, competition organization and record work. Even worse is the mastering ofbasketball refereeing law and rules of adjudication in practice, especially the errors occurring in refereestations and responsibilities in the spot practice as well as in the rotation and rotation. Also whatpsychological aspects lack is confidence in the practice of basketball refereeing. So mistaken sanctions andmissed sanctions appear, causing popular dissatisfaction among the coaches, the players, and the students’cheering group. The conclusion is drawed as below: the main factors in affecting the students’ refereeingability in Henan Colleges are lack of practicing opportunities, students’ inexperienced skills in mastering rules and refereeing methods, theory and practice out of joint, fewer refereeing classes and imperfectevaluation system, and fewer training opportunities for students.Then give the suggestion: Henan province colleges and universities teaching objectives must take thesocial demand as the prerequisite, sports specialized student basketball referee training not only for school,but for society; appropriate increase the teaching time, refereeing skills more skilled, strong; physicaleducation majors in the theory of knowledge and cultural knowledge learning, good English and computertechnology training; constantly improve teaching methods, improve teaching quality, attention to the use ofmultimedia technology; to strengthen schools and related departments and communication links between,to establish student basketball referee training system; increase students’ practical enforcement fieldnumber and level of colleges and universities; strict referee level system, the students are on the correctguidance, improve the overall level of the students.
