With the reform of English teaching continuously at present, teaching methodshave being perfected in classroom and students need to actively participate in teachingactivities so that they can acquire knowledge in a good environment.When Studentslearn something, inevitably they will encounter all sorts of difficulties, the academichelp-seeking is a good way for students to regulate external factors to promote learning.The fact that students can make effective use of the academic help-seeking is related totheir learning ability and efficiency in classroom.Based on consideration of current classroom teaching model and various kinds ofstudent types, the paper analyses the main factors that influence students’ academichelp-seeking in classroom. The main factors are found to be both internal and external,Thus, this thesis makes a reasonable conclusion in helping students apply academichelp-seeking in English class of junior high school and improve the classroomefficiency and education quality. Therefore, the thesis needs to study on three issues. Atfirst, it studys on what internal and external factors are that influencestudents’help-seeking strategy in classroom; secondly, according to analysing externalfactors, it studys on how to form and estiblish the good class environment that is goodfor students to apply the help-seeking; thirdly, according to analysing internal factors, itstudys on how to improve students’personal characteristics so that they can know andapply the help-seeking.According to the three aspects of class environment, teachers and students, theresearch method and procedure are to investigate the existing condition ofstudents’academic help-seeking by observing the class, interviewing teachers andstudents questionnaire. These research methods can make known the class environment,teachers’attitude toward the help-seeking that students use and students’understandingand application situation of help-seeking, so as to make completely investigate andanalyze the factors that influence junior high-school students’ use of help-seeking inclassroom, and put foward effective solutions and countermeasures. The thesis concludes there are both internal and external factors that influencestudents’help-seeking strategy. The external factors are about how to form and estiblishthe overall class environment, and the internal factors refer to the students’personalcharacteristics. As for these factors, teachers should set the proper classroom rules andnorms, make the classroom goal structure clear, and form the good atmosphere of theclassroom; meanwhile, students should also improve their own perception, self-respectand self-efficiency and social communication competence, for all these methods canimprove the ability of the students to apply the help-seeking.
