Classical Chinese teaching has been a difficult teaching point over many years. AS High school Chinese teachers, we should not only know the goals of Classical Chinese teaching under the new curriculum demands as well as the requirements of the reading ability, but need to let students to have an understanding of the translation standards and have them master the proper methods of translation. The teacher should have a step into a solid teaching materials and books for teachers. At the same time, a further study and rational analysis should be conducted, and accepting or rejecting the book for the teacher is in particular important.The curriculum demands for Chinese Section of Senior High and the university entrance exam language examination outline and its description put forward some relative requirements. Amongst, translating Classical Chinese examines the degree of students’ mastery in basic knowledge of Classical Chinese and their ability in the written communication as well as in the reading.While translating the sentences of Classical Chinese, every word in the original text with real meaning and the concrete grammatical function should be translated.According to these standards and requirements, the omissions and errors are as follows in the new compulsory teaching edition Chinese textbooks for senior middle schools published by PEP.The first one is omission. There exist many omissions in the book for the teacher, which causes the differences from the original context, even the absolute different effects of expression.The second is that the language is not brief even wordy.The third is the false translation.1. Grammar mistakesThere are many mistakes in the book for the teacher, mainly including some words without being translated in accordance with the ancient Chinese grammar.2. inaccurate handling the original context3. the inaccurate translation of the sentencesThere are many inaccurate translations of words, related words collocated improperly, changed original meaning due to the changed grammar structures at will, some improper translation of sentences.
